The Sony World Photography Awards 2014

139,554 photos from 166 countries were submitted to the seventh annual Sony World Photography Awards, and now the organizing committee has revealed its shortlist of the very best.

Sponsored by Sony, the World Photography Awards are organized annually by WPO. The competition has three entry levels; Student, Open and Professional, each with a number of subcategories.



The overall winner of the Professional category is awarded with the Iris d'Or, a cash prize and the title "Sony World Photographer of the Year" at the Awards ceremony which takes place annually in London. The award ceremony is part of the larger World Photography Festival and features exhibitions, workshops, portfolio review, student programmes and talks from World Photographic Academy members, culminating in the award ceremony.

Developed by Google it streams YouTube videos, Online movies, Google play videos and more directly on your television through your mobile phone. Chromecast supports Android as well as iOS . Looks like a pen-drive, it is very compatible and easy to use device, all you need to do is just plug-in the device in one of the HDMI ports of your television and using the chromecast app, available both in play store and app store, stream online videos and other stuff directly in your television.
