Tizen OS: MWC 2014

-

As we all know, Samsung and Intel together are building the so called Tizen OS which they announced last year at the mobile world congress. So one whole year was passed but no device launch or any other commercialization was seen. But yesterday at the mobile world congress 2014, Samsung announced the all new Tizen OS with some new features and capabilities. A prototype was seen at mwc which looked almost like the galaxy s4 but was running the Tizen OS.

Tizen OS is almost like android but with better customization or enhancement. The UI is almost the same as the TouchWiz, the notification panel, app drawer, camera application is almost like it is  in TouchWiz but all this stuff in more enhanced. Tizen can run HTML apps smoothly, it has shortcuts-cum- widgets called as dynamic box, mini apps for better multitasking and a simplified user experience. I also got the news that Samsung is going to release a commercial phone running on Tizen OS this April, which will also support the galaxy gear and gear fit.

I am posting few images of the prototype of the Tizen OS below, and stay tuned with for more info of the world these days...
